Extensive experience delivering projects across the full project lifecycle and transitioning them into reliable operational assets, including the development, financing, construction and operation of large-scale power generation, transmission and mining assets, gained through executive leadership roles with ABB Group; ABB Energy Ventures, Euroventures, Mineração Serra Verde (backed by Denham Capital and Arsago), Sociedade Nacional de Transporte de Energia (STE, under EDM) and jointly developed by Globeleq.
Deep expertise in private equity, DFI-backed and private-capital project finance, IPPs, public-private partnerships and ESG-compliant infrastructure development, combining entrepreneurial infrastructure development with hands-on project management and execution.
Has led projects exceeding US$10 billion in cumulative value, including more than 5,000 MW of CCGT, biofuel and small-hydropower generation assets, 563 km of 400 kV transmission infrastructure, and strategic world-class iron ore and rare earth mining projects from greenfield discovery and development through to operations, commercialisation, and private and public-market transactions.

Ruaan du Toit

Senior power systems, generation and transmission engineer with 25+ years of international experience in power system planning, grid integration, transmission development and high-voltage infrastructure across Southern Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Proven track record in the technical development, design, construction, integration and optimisation of complex utility-scale generation and transmission networks, supporting utilities, IPPs, mining companies and industrial clients.
Deep expertise in transmission planning, renewable energy integration, HVDC, FACTS technologies, reactive power compensation, system studies, grid code compliance and power system modelling using PSS®E and PSCAD.
Has led and advised on major transmission backbone, thermal, renewable and industrial power projects, including the 563 km Temane Transmission Project, a 1,325 MW HVDC transmission scheme, 1.3 GW green hydrogen power integration, multiple 100–600 MW thermal and renewable generation integration projects, and strategic transmission development programmes for Eskom, Electricidade de Moçambique, ZESCO and Botswana Power Corporation.
Ruaan holds a B.Ing. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Johannesburg (formerly RAU). He is a Registered Professional Engineer with ECSA, a member of SAIEE and MIET, and a Senior Member of IEEE.

Enoque Vicente
Co-Founder & Partner: Sustainability & ESG Implementation Management
Senior environmental, social and governance (ESG) specialist with 20+ years of leadership experience across Africa in mining, energy, water infrastructure and major donor-funded development projects. Proven track record in environmental and social safeguards, permitting, resettlement, stakeholder engagement and ESG risk management throughout the full project lifecycle.
Deep expertise in World Bank Environmental and Social Framework (ESF), IFC Performance Standards, African Development Bank Integrated Safeguards System and other international lender requirements, with extensive experience integrating these requirements into project development, construction and operational implementation.
Has successfully led environmental and social management for large-scale mining operations, oil and gas developments and strategic infrastructure projects, including the 563 km, 400 kV Temane–Maputo Power Transmission Project, while directing more than 20 Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs) and ESG compliance programmes across multiple African countries.

Nasir Uddin
Senior Expert: Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Operations Handover Management
Senior power generation, transmission, construction and commissioning engineer with 24+ years of international experience delivering major greenfield and brownfield power infrastructure projects across Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering, construction, commissioning and project management teams for utilities, IPPs, Owner's Engineers and global OEM/EPC organisations, including Siemens, ALSTOM, Saudi Electricity Company, Pöyry and ACWA Power.
Extensive expertise in CCGT power generation, generation integration, EHV/HV transmission, GIS/AIS substations, HVDC, STATCOM/SVC/FSC technologies, FEED, construction management, testing, commissioning, project controls and QA/QC, with particular experience transitioning complex infrastructure from construction completion through commissioning and operational readiness into reliable operations.
Major assignments include the 450 MW Temane CCGT and 563 km, 400 kV Temane Transmission Project, 1,500 MW Al-Dur Phase II IWPP, and 3,030 MW Ras Al-Khair Power & Desalination Project.
Nasir holds advanced qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Systems, Finance and Operations Management and is a certified PMP and PMI-RMP, as well as a registered Professional Engineer with the Saudi Council of Engineers.

Graham McDonald
Senior Expert: Sustainability & ESG Integration Management
Senior ESG integration specialist with 18+ years of international experience supporting the development, financing, construction and operation of large-scale energy, mining, oil & gas and infrastructure projects across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Asia and North America.
Proven track record in designing and implementing Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS), IFC and World Bank Performance Standards, land acquisition and resettlement, stakeholder engagement and construction-phase ESHS management. Brings extensive experience advising developers, lenders, EPC contractors and government institutions on ESG compliance, sustainable infrastructure delivery and lender due diligence.
Has successfully led ESG implementation and social performance programmes for major infrastructure developments comprising more than 14.5 GW of thermal, renewable and transmission assets, including the 14.4 GW Siemens Egypt Megaproject, 563 km 400 kV Temane Transmission Project, 120 MW Namaacha Wind Farm and Azito Phase IV CCGT Expansion, as well as multiple World Bank-, AIIB- and IFC-financed infrastructure programmes.

John Manning

Senior power and infrastructure executive with 40+ years of international leadership experience in EPC delivery, executive management and asset operations across Africa, Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia.
Proven track record across the full infrastructure lifecycle, from project development and engineering through construction, commissioning and operations to strategic business and asset leadership. Brings extensive expertise in delivering large-scale thermal, combined-cycle, hydroelectric and civil infrastructure projects, gained through executive leadership roles with ABB Group; ABB Energy Ventures and Combustion Engineering, together with successful entrepreneurial ownership and management of industrial and infrastructure businesses.
Has led projects exceeding US$3.3 billion in cumulative value, comprising 6,430 MW of power generation assets, including the 4,116 MW Kendal Power Station, one of the world's largest dry-cooled power plants, 250 MW Termobahia CCGT and process-steam project supplying Petrobras adjacent refinery, as well as the successful development and operation of an international airport.

Dave Owen
Senior Advisor: Procurement & Contract Management
Senior infrastructure, procurement and contract management executive with 40+ years of project and general management leadership experience across major energy, mining, industrial and infrastructure projects. Extensive experience across the project lifecycle, with particular expertise in procurement strategy, tendering, contract negotiation and formulation, EPC contracting, contract administration and construction execution, gained through senior leadership roles with VVO Consulting, CIC Energy, IMS Holdings, IMS Projects and Babcock.
Deep expertise in FIDIC, NEC3 and World Bank procurement guidelines and contract frameworks, including Owner's Representative services, procurement strategy, RFI/RFP processes, bid evaluation, contract negotiations, risk management and implementation.
Has led and supported major assignments including procurement and contract management for the 563 km, 400 kV Temane Transmission Project, contracts leadership for the 2 × 660 MW Mmamabula power and mining development, development of a turnkey EPC contract for a 175 MW gas-fired power project, and procurement and contracting assignments across major energy, mining, telecommunications and industrial infrastructure.
Earlier executive and project leadership roles included Managing Director positions across major EPC and industrial contracting businesses, covering power generation, transmission, petrochemical facilities, materials handling, process plants, water treatment and industrial infrastructure. Dave holds a BSc (Hons) in Building from Aston University and completed the Construction Management Programme at the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business.
