Bahrain — Al-Dur Phase II Independent Water & Power Project (IWPP)

1,500 MW CCGT + SWRO desalination + 400 kV grid integration. Owner's Representative Project Management of a US$1+ billion BOO IWPP, overseeing design, construction, commissioning and grid integration through COD. Managed power–water–grid interfaces, EPC performance, schedule and risk, ESHS, operational readiness and compliance with Power and Water Purchase Agreement (PWPA) obligations. Project delivery continued through COVID-19 disruptions, with the first gas turbine online within seven months of NTP.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia — Ras Al-Khair Phase I Power & Water Project

3,030 MW dual-fired CCGT + 250 MIGD desalination + 380 kV grid infrastructure. Owner's Engineer Project Management of strategic national infrastructure forming part of an integrated programme with total investment exceeding US$4.3 billion. Led delivery from early construction through commissioning and operational handover, integrating five combined-cycle blocks, additional open-cycle generation, 380 kV GIS substations and transmission interconnections, and major desalination infrastructure.

Managed EPC execution, power–water–grid interfaces, technical and schedule risk, ESHS, grid synchronisation, commissioning and operational readiness. The infrastructure supplied power to Ma'aden's aluminium operations and incorporated what was described in the project record as the world's largest operational desalination plant at the time.

Core Services Provided:

  • Owner-Side Project Leadership: Led Owner's Representative and Owner's Engineer teams through construction, commissioning, grid integration, COD and operational handover.

  • Integrated Power, Water & Grid Delivery: Managed complex interfaces across large-scale CCGT generation, SWRO desalination and 380/400 kV transmission infrastructure.

  • EPC & Commercial Management: Oversaw EPC execution, technical optimisation, contractor performance, schedule, risk, ESHS and compliance with power and water offtake requirements.

  • Commissioning & Operational Readiness: Led integrated commissioning, grid synchronisation, performance testing and operational handover of mission-critical national infrastructure.
