250 MW CCGT and process-steam project supplying Petrobras' Landulpho Alves Refinery under a tolling arrangement. Developed, financed, build and transition as a BOO/project-financed IPP with ABB Equity Ventures and Petrobras.

ABB Equity Ventures/ EIC — 51% | Petrobras — 49%;

Gas Supply & Energy Offtake:
Tolling agreement with Petrobras.

Financiers:
Inter-American Development Bank (IDB); US$180 million A/B loan and US$50 million debenture placed with PETROS as part of the 2001 refinancing. The transaction was awarded "Latin American Deal of the Year" (2001) by Project Finance Magazine. 1999–2004.

Core Services Delivered:

  • Development & Project Finance: Led project development, commercial structuring and financing, including the IDB-backed refinancing.

  • Technical & Commercial Structuring: Directed technical optimisation, EPC strategy, legal/commercial architecture, ESG strategy and project risk management.

  • Construction & Operations: Oversaw EPC execution, Owner's Engineer coordination, commissioning and transition into operations.

  • Industrial Energy Integration: Managed the critical power, process-steam and gas/tolling interfaces with Petrobras and the adjacent Landulpho Alves Refinery.
